Every Relic Pickguard Is Aged by Hand

No printed graphics. No photocopied wear pattern stamped onto a hundred identical guards. Each relic Strat pickguard is worked by hand until the surface earns the kind of history a guitar picks up over decades on a stage and in a case.

Look closely and you’ll find fine scuffs and scratches scattered across the face, patches where the finish shifts from flat matte to soft shine as you move it under the light, and the faint arc of tone-knob swirl that only comes from a player’s little finger resting in the same spot for years. The color sits slightly uneven across the guard, the way real vinyl and nitrate yellow unevenly with age and sunlight.

Because every one is done by hand, no two are identical. Yours will be its own thing.

Choose Your Color

Aged Mint Green — The classic. A 3-ply mint green pickguard aged down to the warm, slightly yellowed green of a sixties guard that’s spent its life out of the case. Looks especially good against a black Strat, a sunburst body, Olympic white, or Fiesta red.

Aged Cream — Warmer and creamier than white, aged to the buttery tone of old single-ply parchment. A natural fit for sunburst, black, and natural-finish bodies where mint green would read too cool.

Aged White — For builds where you want the wear and the patina without the color shift. Still hand-aged with full scuff, scratch, and tone-knob detail, just kept close to its original shade.

8-Hole or 11-Hole Stratocaster Fit

11-hole is the modern standard — 1983-onward American and Mexican-made Fender Stratocasters, and the large majority of Squiers. If your guitar was built in the last forty years, this is almost certainly what you need.

8-hole is vintage spec, used on pre-CBS Strats and on ’57 and ’62 reissues and vintage-style reproductions.

SSS, HSS, or HSH Pickup Configuration

SSS — three single coils, the traditional Stratocaster layout.

HSS — humbucker in the bridge, single coils in the middle and neck.

HSH — humbuckers at bridge and neck, single coil in the middle.

Fits Fender American, Mexican-Made, Squier, and Most Strat Copies

Cut to standard Stratocaster dimensions, so it drops onto Fender American Standard, Mexican-made (MIM), and Squier bodies, along with the vast majority of Strat-style guitars from other builders. Full dimensions are in the product photos — if you’re working with an unusual or boutique body, measure against those before ordering.

Will two pickguards look the same? No. Hand-aging means every guard has its own pattern of wear. The overall character is consistent; the specific marks are not.

Do the screws come with it? They’re a separate $4.99 add-on so you’re not paying for screws you don’t need.
